Clean Up After Your Pet
§ 2-105 Disposal of Animal Waste and Feces. [Ord. 579, 10/12/1976, § 5]
It shall be unlawful for any person to permit any dog or cat within his control to deposit on any public property or upon any private property, without the consent of the owner of the property, any animal waste or feces. Permitting the deposit of waste or feces by any animal shall constitute a public nuisance. Where the owner or other person in control of the animal immediately removes all feces deposited by the animal upon private property and in a sanitary manner disposes of the feces that nuisance as to that owner shall be considered abated.
Dog License Application
The Borough of Beaver requires that all dog owners acquire licenses for their pets, available at the Beaver County Courthouse, 800 3rd Street, in the Treasurer’s Office (724-728-5700, ext. 7751). Dogs must be kept on a leash or within a fenced-in yard while outside. While walking your pet in the Borough, it is your responsibility to clean up any droppings. Violators will be subject to a fine of $300.
Dumpsters and Other Storage Devices Require a Permit
The use of dumpsters or other storage devices in the Borough of Beaver requires a permit. The permit must be issued prior to the placement of the device on public or private property. Please contact the borough office for additional information.
